Hawkesbury Canoe Classic - participate, volunteer or sponsor a paddler

Since its conception in 1977, the HCC has raised over $3 million for medical research with Arrow being the major beneficiary. The event which involves a challenging 111km overnight paddle from Windsor to Brooklyn, has grown significantly with around 600 paddlers, their land crew and hundreds of volunteers meeting on the banks of the Hawkesbury River at Windsor each year.

This year's event will be held on Saturday 23rd - Sunday 24th October, a date chosen to offer paddlers the best moon, tide and river traffic conditions. The event is open to anyone with a suitable craft, and first time paddlers are welcome, so please get involved by: participating, volunteering or sponsoring a paddler. Fundraise your own way!

If due to conflicting commitments, or distance, you're not able to make it to one of our fundraising events this year - or if you just want to do more - we've made it easy for you to run your own fundraising event by simply setting up a personal fundraising page on the Arrow website.

There are endless ways to help raise funds whether it be to: accept donations in lieu of birthday or anniversary gifts; run your own fundraising event; take on a personal challenge, or raise funds in memory of a loved one. Whatever your idea, by setting up a fundraising page and emailing the page link to your friends and family, you will be well on your way to helping people suffering from leukaemia and other diseases treatable by bone marrow and stem cell therapy. Your supporters can support you by donating securely online and a tax deductible receipt is issued instantly. You can even leave a message of support.

To get started click the 'build a fundraising page now' or 'in memoriam' link on the homepage and follow the prompts.
