Executive

David C Nomchong - President

David Nomchong is a successful transplant recipient having been diagnosed with CLL in 1988 and receiving his transplant in August 2001. A past President of the National Speakers Association of Australia he has been on the Executive since 2002.

Mark O'Hara - Vice President

Mark has paddled in the HCC every year since 1999, the first year with Warren Dean (transplant recipient), the next two years with Greg Neate and in 2006 with Heidi Fisse. Mark has been on the HCC Race Committee since 2003. With a background in building he is currently the Facilities and Services Manager at Cranbrook School.

David Eden - Treasurer

David Eden was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia in 1994. He had a bone marrow transplant in June 2000 which subsequently failed in 2001. He was commenced on a new drug Glivec which he continues to take to this day. The success of this new drug has allowed him to return to full time work as a Senior Manager Rural Credit with Rabobank. He has undertaken community work through the Australian Business & Community Network Goals Mentoring program, Lions and Rotary. He has been Treasurer and Executive member of the Foundation since 1995, and is a member of the National Institute of Accountants and a Justice of the Peace.

Robyn Flood - Secretary

Robyn joined Arrow in 2005 and is Chief Executive Officer of the organisation.

Anthony Dodds - Director

Associate Professor Anthony Dodds is Director of Haematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation at St Vincent's Hospital. He is also Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of NSW. He is Vice-Chairman of the Bone Marrow Transplant Society of Australia and New Zealand. He has been a member of the Executive of the Foundation for 10 years.

David Ma - Director

Professor David Ma joined the Haematology Department, St.Vincent's Hospital in 1998. He is Professor of Medicine, University of NSW and Director, Blood Stem Cell and Cancer Research Unit, Department of Haematology & Bone Marrow Transplantation, St Vincent's Hospital Sydney. He has been a member of the Executive since 2000.

Pam Neate - Director

Pam is the mother of Greg Neate who underwent a successful bone marrow transplant at St Vincent's Hospital, his sister Yvette being the donor. Greg participated in two Hawkesbury Canoe Classic events, the second of which he completed on the 111th day of his transplant (the Classic is a 111 km paddle). Greg was instrumental in introducing Heidi Fisse and "Arrow" to Pam and was keen for her to become a member of the Foundation. Sadly Greg had a relapse and lost his battle with leukaemia in April 2002. Pam joined the Foundation later that year. Pam is a Paralegal in Property with a Sydney Law Firm.

Leonie Wilcox - Director

Leonie is currently the Manager of the Australasian Bone Marrow Transplant Recipient Registry (ABMTRR). Prior to working at the Registry, Leonie worked in the Statistics Department at Macquarie University for 12 years, teaching and consulting, and she is also a trained nurse. She has been a member of the Executive Committee since 2007.

Glenn Forster - Director

Glenn was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in May 2004. After eight cycles of chemotherapy a bone marrow transplant was undertaken in December 2005 at St Vincent's Hospital. Glenn made a miraculous recovery spending only 22 days in hospital post transplant. Wanting to give something back, he joined the Executive Committee of Arrow in December 2007. He has spent the past 20 years working in the automotive industry with a background in sales, marketing, operations and following a 4 year stint in the UK is now at general manager level. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Econ) and an MBA (Warwick UK).

Colleena Presnell - Director

Colleena was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia early in 2001. After months of treatment was given an Autologous stem cell transplant that lasted for one year. The Leukamia returned and after a battle to put the Leukaemia into remission received an Autogenetic MUD transplant in 2003. Colleena travelled to America to meet her donor and his family a year later. Prior to the Leukaemia she was a Corporate Trainer in business communication for 22 years travelling throughout Australia, NZ and SE Asia. Colleena is married with three grown up children, enjoys a wide variety of interests both in sport and literature and is committed to a 'gift of friendship' project at St Vincent's Hospital, Sydney.

Darren Williams - Director

Darren was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia in 2001 which lead to a bone marrow transplant in November the same year. Since the success of the transplant Darren has completed various endurance sporting events including: the London and Sydney Marathons, 4 Australian Ironman Championships and the Hawkesbury 111km Canoe Classic. A keen advocate that we can win the battle against leukaemia and other diseases treatable by bone marrow and adult stem cell transplantation, Darren joined Arrow's Executive Team in November 2008. Darren is the doting father of two, and loving husband of one.
